Today we’re talking about organizing your gear and how I do it.
Organizing your gear can be a tedious thing. Especially if you have a lot of it. Over the years your collection will probably only expand and keeping track of everything, that is becoming really difficult.
Most of the time when I’m on a shoot we’re with 2 so we both have our gear and it can also get mixed up pretty easily as we have the same storage room.
We then decided to tag all our gear with a tag machine from batteries, to sd cards and so on. We also got a really cool and solid case to organise our SD cards and we tagged the left and right side depending on full or empty SD cards.
Next we also got some Trackers from Trackr these allow us to track our gear if we lost something or if we can’t find it. It will show us the location of our item on google maps or if that isn’t enough, it will make a sound so we can find our stuff again. Also if you lost your phone you can click on the button of the tracker and it will play a sound on your phone, even if it’s on silent.
The battery lasts about a year.
A little while back we were flying with our DJI Phantom 3 quad-copter and suddenly it decided to go on a journey, he never came back. Apparently there was a disconnection with the GPS Signal and it just took off, we never found our drone again so we had to contact DJI and after a while back and forth we got a new drone, as it wasn’t our fault, we had all the information in a log file from the DJI app which is pretty neat. So after we had that happening we decided to get some trackers to put on on our drone, wallet, keys, camera’s, bags even in our car, not only because we’re afraid of it being stolen but how many times we are parked somewhere and we forgot where the car was. We can simply go in the Trackr app and it’ll show us the road!
